Sunday Parkland Games

Thanks for a great summer!

Check back in 2017.

The Conservancy strives to provide recreational and play activities where community members can enjoy the river and the parklands in healthy, active, and innovative ways. The Sunday Parkland Games provides individuals and families with this opportunity. Since 2009, the Charles River Conservancy (CRC), in partnership with the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation, has offered free games on summer Sunday afternoons. The Sunday Parkland Games have been held in the afternoons late June through September. All activities are free of charge and the program does not require registration – anyone can attend, and all are welcome to participate. GAMES: People of all ages and abilities are able to participate in over 25 free games and activities that are set up and facilitated by our partner, Knucklebones, a local athletic and events company. Knucklebones provides equipment and instruction for a variety of games—including paddle ball, parachute, corn hole, and frisbee. An agility cube, hula hoops, ladderball and potato sacks are also among the many offerings. The game equipment is sized for children as young as 3 through adults.

YOGA: For the last hour of the Games, Cambridge-based Karma Yoga Studio conducts a one-hour yoga class, allowing both devoted practitioners and novices the opportunity to relax and stretch by the water.
