Yes, it's happening! We invite you to come down to the Boston Esplanade to watch the 125 registered swimmers in the Second Annual Charles River One-Mile Swim Race! You have to see it to believe it.

8:45 am        Celebrity Splash

For more information, please contact CRC Swimmable Charles Coordinator Ben Martens at 617-300-8173 or bdm@thecharles.org.

Tango by Moonlight over the Charles

Also this Sunday, from 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm, come dance with the Tango Society of Boston as they offer a night of short lessons and dancing on the Weeks Footbridge. Dance from sunset into the moonlight over the waters of the Charles!

Volunteer Recognition Night

We invite all our volunteers and donors to a special Volunteer Recognition Ceremony on Wednesday, July 9. Stewardship Program Manager Evan Moss will MC a short awards ceremony followed by the opening of the Publick Theatre's season with a free performance of Chekhov's 'The Seagull."

Registration required by July 2nd. Contact Evan Moss at 617-300-8171 or edm@thecharles.org.

June 5th Cocktail

In a special event to recognize the contributors who helped make our recent publication of River Stories happen, the CRC hosted a celebratory cocktail party at EF. The evening included a presentation of the history of the New Basin and possible ways of enlivening this newly created civic space, which includes NorthPoint Park and the future Charles River Skatepark. Thanks to all who made it a wonderful event!

River Stories available for teachers

Teachers are encouraged to incorporate River Stories in their classrooms, inspiring students to write about time spent in the Parklands. See the Boston Sunday Globe story.

Contact Elissa Bolt at 617.300.8162 or ejb@thecharles.org for your copies today.
