Objective:
The goal of this advocacy effort is to ensure that the new Education First development also benefits the surrounding parklands, which will include the Charles River Skatepark.
Updates:
April 8th, 2011: The Charles River Conservancy submitted a letter to the Joint Committee on State Administration and Regulatory Oversight addressing House Bill 3044, An Act relative to the economic development in the North Point area of the City of Cambridge. The letter urges the Committee to consider the greater public good in the development of the new EF building, namely through the incorporation of public facilities and a skate shop, through the addition of tennis courts and lighting, as well as other efforts benefiting the adjacent parklands.
