Free Yoga on the Charles River? Yup

by Staff Writers, Cambridge Chronicle

Cambridge — The Charles River Conservancy has added another reason to come to the parklands on Sunday afternoon. Free yoga sessions will take place every Sunday at 5 to 6 p.m. until early September at the Weeks Footbridge. They are suited for all levels. Local certified instructors, several from Wellbridge, provide the teaching, and Lulumon Athletica brings free mats.page1image11448

This hour of yoga follows the three hours of free Sunday Parkland Games that the Charles River Conservancy in collaboration with the Department of Conservation and Recreation offers to those who like to enjoy physical activities along the water’s edge. Knucklebones brings equipment for all ages to play volley ball, croquet, and many other games.

The nearest T stop is Harvard Square, or you can bike there as Memorial Drive is closed to motor traffic on Sundays. Both the yoga and the games are part of the Charles River Conservancy’s efforts to make the parklands more active, attractive and accessible to all.
